Thirsty Thursday - Crimson and Clover

So, just in time for you to have recovered from your New Year's hangover, its Thirsty Thursday and time for another drink!  Unless you are like me and only had two sips of champagne and called it a night...  Anyway...as I am trying to be a beacon of inspiration in the whole getting healthy thing (though, I must admit I am not doing so great myself...just today...) I searched and searched for a cocktail that would warm you up (because its super cold out here) and wouldn't use up half of your calories for the day...those cocktails tend to have quite a few calories!

(And sorry for the super short post, but I went back to work last night and I am EXHAUSTED right now!  Oh...and also, Blogger is still being a total bitch about letting read and comment on blogs...ggrrrrr...there are two other blogs I've been able to read and comment on as well as responding to comments on mine...but that is hit or miss and I have to try again and again until it works.  Whatever Google.  Let's get this fixed, shall we?????  Thanks!)

The Crimson Crush

Ingredients
3 bar spoons of pomegranate seeds
4 chunks pink grapefruit

Directions
Muddle pomegranate seeds and grapefruit with elderflower liqueur. Add Belvedere and top with crushed ice. Churn.

And I mean, the grapefruit..so seasonal.  It will keep you from getting sick AND its on sale everywhere right now...well, at least around here...

So...what do you think??

And now...your moment of zen...

Get it??

  1. Sorry to hear that the problems with blogger are continuing, and that work is tiring you out, but you're soldiering on. Beacon of inspiration or not, that's still pretty cool.

  3. I'd like this.. because it has crushed ice and it's warm here. Might go to the beach Saturday. ;D

I like the Zen moments. And short posts are fine if you're tired. Seriously, I do it all the time. No one ever says anything.

  4. I like the warm drinks at the bookstore. But that's about it for me. Although, if I get two of those in me, I get hyper from the sugar.

    1. I can't even do coffee any more...just tea. And honestly, the hardest thing I drink is wine. Though I've been told I'm an excellent bartender!

  5. You do have some great taste in music Mel. I love that song. The drink looks fabulous and like nothing else I've ever tried.

Try to get some sleep when you get home.

  8. That drink looks and sounds most delightful. Gee, I didn't realize one could drink as much vodka and liqueur as they want - as long as they chase it down with grapefruit ... lol! Whee!! There's no stopping me now :0

I love that moment of Zen :)
